Supermoon Freesolo

Zach Cohen and I headed up the 800′ 3rd flatiron (5.4) during the supermoon on November 14th, 2016. On the approach, we could see the headlamps of other climbers already taking advantage of the gorgeous night. We would often pause our climbing in the warm breeze to join in on the howling at the moon echoing from other climbers across the other climbs.

Behind the scenes on the previous photo. I found a nice bulge that I could turn around and sit in, and prop the camera on. The exposure certainly kicked in while facing away from the rock with no hands 😀 (Photo: Zach Cohen)
